Our Discovery Tour is a truly unique Magnetic Island experience. Your hosts, Steph & Adam Hinks, have called Magnetic Island their home for over 37 years, they know this island better than most and love sharing their love for the island with you.

Benefit from having Master Reef Guides onboard (the only 2 on Magnetic Island), who will educate you about the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and meet some marine life friends that you will encounter along the way.

DISCOVERY TOUR

  • Stand Up Paddle boards​
  • Glass bottom boogie boards (for little kids and the "big kids")

  • EMC Reef tax charge is included in your ticket

What to bring:
  • Wear comfortable clothing for going to the beach.

As part of your booking process please take the time to read the following:

​Snorkelling can be a strenuous activity and may increase the health and safety risks if you are suffering from any medical condition that may be made worse by physical activity. If you have a medical condition that we need to know about please advise Aquascene crew, advise the office at time of booking, or download medical/snorkel form and email it to us.

Travelling across from Townsville

​If catching the Sealink ferry from Townsville, please be sure to catch the 
7.45 am departure from Townsville.
Car parking is available at the Sealink Ferry Terminal.
(A daily fee applies, pay at the carpark or at the Sealink ticket desk)

If catching the Magnetic Island Ferries Barge with your vehicle, please check that your arrival time is early enough to connect with our tour departure times.

Car parking is available at the Magnetic Island car park as you arrive on to Magnetic Island to park and then join us for your tour. (No fee at the Magnetic Island car park)

Where to meet us on Magnetic Island

Meet us  in front of Peppers Resort Restaurant (Nelly Bay) on the boardwalk area, a short 1 minute walk to the left of the Nelly Bay ferry terminal.  You will see our Aquascene sign located on the far corner of the boardwalk area and our friendly Aquascene crew will meet you there and escort you to our boat ready to start your day of fun.

CANCELLATION OF BOOKINGS

If you are unwell, we request that you contact us as soon as possible, we will offer you options of a refund or transfer to a suitable date in the future.
You will not be able to join the tour if you are unwell.

Cancellation
We are human here at Aquascene and we do understand that situations can happen that may mean you have to change or cancel your tour with us. Please phone us and we will do our best to accommodate your situation if it is possible.
The following fees MAY apply if there is a no show or minimal notice given to us. School holidays are a busy time for us and we like to be able to accommodate everyone, please try and let us know if you think there may be a change in your situation.
A "no show" or less than 24 hours notice – you will be charged full fare
Within 2 days of departure - a 20% admin fee may be deducted from your payment if seats cannot be resold

Weather Conditions
Guest comfort is our priority on Aquascene so we don't run our tours if the weather is unpleasant. We are always monitoring the weather conditions and will keep you updated on any changes with our tours.
If a scheduled tour is cancelled by Aquascene due to unpleasant weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, a transfer to our tour on another day will be offered to you, or a full refund given.
