The health and safety of our guests and staff is and always has been our highest priority. Due to the recent Government Health Orders, our operating procedures have had to bring together a number of new and existing wellbeing measures to give you peace of mind when you travel with us.
Aquascene Charters has a COVID Safe Plan in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests and crew. All efforts are made to provide a clean and hygienic environment to allow guests to safely enjoy our tour experiences.
These updates include the following:
As of 17th December 2021 all Aquascene Charters crew will be fully vaccinated.
As of 17th December 2021 all passengers travelling on Aquascene Charters vessel will be required to be FULLY VACCINATED with proof of full vaccination to be provided.
Proof of vaccination is required for each passenger over 16 years of age, to be supplied during the initial online booking process.
Guests are required to use the the Check-In App as part of the tour process when boarding the vessel. Proof of vaccination via the Check-In App upon boarding the vessel will also be checked by our crew.
If proof of vaccination is not provided, Aquascene Charters reserves the right to refuse the passenger to board our vessel and no refund will be given.

If you are feeling unwell or display any symptoms of COVID OR are UNVACCINATED - YOU WON'T be able to board Aquascene. (fever, dry cough, tiredness, sore throat etc). Now is the time to protect each other and let us know if you are unwell prior to your tour with us. This is to protect everyone and is so important.

COVID SAFE PROCEDURES ON BOARD AQUASCENE
Our high-standard cleaning procedures are aligned with Covid Safe Practices
Food & refreshment serving procedures have been adjusted for the safety of our guests on tour
Aquascene have undergone all necessary training in Covid safe procedures
Good Hygiene Practices:
Thorough cleaning with regulation disinfectant during and after every cruise including all equipment used for activities during our tours.
Food is served in accordance with the new covid safe regulations. Individualised and adjusted to suit individuals and groups.
Refreshments are served in disposable cups at this time and we encourage you to bring your own water bottles which can be refilled with fresh drinking water during your tour.
Hand sanitiser stations are available for guests to use on board Aquascene.
All crew on Aquascene are following good hygiene practices including frequent hand washing.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING PRACTICES
Guests are asked to maintain a safe distance (1.5 metres) away from other guests and to respect the physical distancing policy where required
Aquascene are reducing our tour groups to 18 guests at this stage** - this allows for the required social distancing per person on board (**Numbers are frequently updated in regards to the current situations and regulations, please contact us for further updates or if you have any questions)
Aquascene Private Charters - can have up to 24 guests on board at this stage, please contact us for further updates and information on group bookings.
Physical Distancing:
We request that guests maintain a safe distance (no less than 1.5 metres) away from other guests at the meeting area on the Peppers Resort deck area.
On boarding Aquascene, groups will be boarded one at a time and guests will be asked to wait a safe distance until the crew is ready for you to board Aquascene.
We ask that your group booking sit together on Aquascene in the designated areas.
Guests may move around Aquascene, but we ask you to respect physical distancing wherever possible.

CANCELLATION OF BOOKINGS
Covid-19 During the current COVID-19 phase, we have relaxed our cancellation policy. If you/or anyone in your group is displaying symptoms of COVID-19. If you are unwell, we request that you contact us and we will offer you options of a refund or transfer to a suitable date in the future. You will not be able to join the tour if you are unwell or have not been vaccinated.
Cancellation We are human here at Aquascene and we do understand that situations can happen that may mean you have to change or cancel your tour with us. Please phone us and we will do our best to accommodate your situation if it is possible. The following fees MAY apply if there is a no show or minimal notice given to us. School holidays are a busy time for us and we like to be able to accommodate everyone, please try and let us know if you think there may be a change in your situation. A "no show" or less than 24 hours notice – you will be charged full fare Within 2 days of departure - a 20% admin fee may be deducted from your payment if seats cannot be resold
Weather Conditions Guest comfort is our priority on Aquascene so we don't run our tours if the weather is unpleasant. We are always monitoring the weather conditions and will keep you updated on any changes with our tours. If a scheduled tour is cancelled by Aquascene due to unpleasant weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, a transfer to our tour on another day will be offered to you, or a full refund given.
