WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T SEE ANY WHALES ON THE TOUR?
Our Whale Watching Tour start and finish dates intentionally align with the peak of the season to avoid guest disappointment. In the rare situation that we don’t come across any Whales on the tour, you are still guaranteed a beautiful 3 hours on the water with a sunset, afternoon tea, with the chance of hearing the whales live around the bay with our onboard technology.
How close can we get to the whales?
Aquascene adheres to strict guidelines on how close vessels of all kinds can be to whales. However this does not stop whales from being curious and wanting to take a closer look at us humans! Our vessels operate with the safety and enjoyment of the whales and our guests at top priority.
Is this tour accessibility friendly?
Yes! All of our tours are accessibility friendly and are designed to include adventures for everyone! We encourage accessibility bookings. Please contact our office prior to make an accessibility booking so that we can ensure the best possible experience.
Can i fly a drone?
No. Drones are unfortunately not permitted to be in the air whilst on a commercial whale watching tour.
what should i wear?
Whale watching takes place during the winter months. For this reason, we recommend dressing appropriately or at least bring warm clothing with you. Conditions at seas can often feel colder than on land. Please wear flat shoes for safely moving around the vessel especially when close to the edge.. Don’t forget your camera, you’ll need it!
